About Casey and Lily
Casey Horrigan was
once well known for running the independent record label Iodine Recordings
based out of Boston, MA and also as the front man for the
mid-90’s punk band Agent 84. In 2003 Iodine Recordings went bankrupt and
forced Casey to close the business and leave his home in Boston. With no where to turn he followed his
biggest passion, the mountains. In 2004, only six months after he lost
everything he started hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. In the 6 ½ months that he was
on the trail his life changed day by day. When he returned home he decided to
stay connected with the mountains and took a job working in the White Mountain National
Forest in New
Hampshire as a Backcountry Caretaker and
Environmental Educator. Shortly after relocating to NH he met Lily, a one year
old Beagle-German Shepherd mix. It was love at first site, and Lily became his
companion in all his adventures (save a few). Over the 3 years of living in the
White Mountains Casey and Lily spent much time hiking and climbing all of the
peaks in the range and completed the 48 highest peaks in New
England. After accomplishing this Casey took off to Nepal for three months to explore the Himalayas and to immerse into the Nepali Culture. Casey
is now back home with Lily planning out their next great adventure.
